ABOUT SILVER TRAIL LTD

Silver Trails Gourmet Snail farms are located in the Raukawa Valley, Hastings and Onga Onga regions of Central Hawke's Bay.

Brassicas, Plantain and fresh vegetables, all grown without the use of pesticides, provide a healthy and nutritious pasture for our free range snails.

Silver Trails Gourmet Snails (Cantareus aspersus, formally helix aspersa and sometimes known as petit-gris) are selected for size and colour and sold young and plump. High quality organic bran and vegetables are used to cleanse their systems prior to harvest.

When ready for harvest, Silver Trail Gourmet Snails are hand picked, blanched and finished in spring water, ready for you to use in the recipes of your choice.
